Repetitive relationships with our pack of working dogs teasing each other as they take their daily movements across our hill top farm
They way they lead or follow their fellow sheep friends in flocks or flerds
Their gentle ways with their own lambs - yet brutal survival instincts as no other lamb will be allowed near….
The vital and undervalued contribution to the necessary herbage removal from our green and pleasant landscape
Lets not forget that our natural world has evolved to co-exist with woolly sheep and their seed dispersal services they offer every Autumn
Perfect hoof presentation to press seeds gently into the soil surface, watering and fertilizing each seed as they pass through the countryside
Their saliva and microbial messages they repeat every time they eat and interact with plants
Their wool we harvest annually - freeing the sheep from heavy, tangling fibres that we can wash and wear to carry carbon around in the form of natural clothing
Their nutrient dense meats we can rely upon to feed us proper nutrition that our mitochondria recognizes, from lamb to hoggett to mature mutton
Their bones and offal we feed to our hounds
